Shu Uemura’s Cleansing Oil ($35-75) is what some call their holy grail makeup remover and face cleanser in one. With all the raving reviews I have read about this product I had to try it out for myself. I was actually in Japan when I bought this thinking that it would be cheaper than buying it back home in the states since I saw a Shu Uemura eyelash curler for $10. It ended up being the same price. There are different types of cleansing oil to address the various skin types. I bought the one for dry skin but they all work the same way, to remove makeup. The key to using this is to apply the oil onto a dry face and rub it into the skin then rinse with water to completely remove all makeup.

How sad, L’oreal will be phasing out Shu Uemura from department stores and boutiques in the upcoming months due to low sales on the states. Shu Uemura is most know for their eyelash curler and elaborate false eyelashes. I admit I don’t own any of their color cosmetics but I love the eyelash curler and their Pureness oil blotting paper in my past post that I compare with Sonia Kashuk’s blotting paper. I think in the upcoming months we will start to see Shu Uemura’s products on sale at Sephora, Nordstrom and their boutique stores. Stock up on your favorites! You’ll be able to buy the products online still but who wants to pay for shipping. If you have a Shu Uemura eye lash curler recommend you to buy the replacement eyelash curler pads from Nordstrom, they are only $6 to save for later
