Eyes Lips Face Eyebrow Stencil vs. Anastasia Stencils

Eyes Lips Face Eyebrow Stencil ($1) is a reusable stencil that is easy to use with 4 stencils: Curved Arch, Soft Arch, Structured Arch and Full Arch to choose from, making these brow stencils suitable for all brow shapes. Now your brows can look picture perfect everyday! “Choose the stencil that best fits your natural eyebrow shape. The stencil should align at point 1 and point 2 and much of your natural brow hair should be inside the stencil cutout. Next fill in the brow area with your desired filler preference, such as a brow pencil or a brow powder. Use the same stencil for both eyebrows, simply flip and repeat the previous steps to fill in your other brow.”

Recommendation: Great price compared to Anastasia’s $20 stencils. You can get the same look with both stencils but at a fraction of the price. Even if you don’t want to use this as a makeup stencil you can use this as a guide on how to shape your brows.

Eyes Lips Face Eyebrow Kit vs. Benefit Brow Zings

Eyes lips face (e.l.f.) Eyebrow Kit ($3) can create brows that are fuller, thicker, and more defined with its pigmented wax and color complementing setting powder. The doubled sided taklon brush has one side to help arch your brows while the other side aids in filling them in. This duo provides lasting color definition for a naturally beautiful look. To use, define and shape the brows with the pigmented brow gel using the angled brush for precise lines. Set the color with the brow powder using the blending brush for a natural finished look. (The above shades in the picture are light for e.l.f. and medium for Benefit)

Recommendation: This eyebrow kit is a must have! Its a steal at $3 vs. $30 and gives comparable if not better results than other popular brands. I think Light will be the shade most people should purchase to get a natural look. I have dark brown hair and Light looks great for me! If you have blonde hair I suggest you to buy this in Ash.

e.l.f. Tweezer vs. Tweezerman

Eyes Lips Face Professional Perfect Tweezers
($1) is a slanted tweezer like Tweezerman’s ($20) for easy and accurate tweezing. Both are made of stainless steel and provides the user with a strong grip that will easily remove unwanted hairs. As you can see from the picture e.l.f.’s doesn’t have the same sharp edges as Tweezer man and it’s width is smaller. I was hoping that e.l.f. would be comparable to Tweezerman. I was unsure but it was only $1 so I gave it a try and actually bought 2 in case it would be really good. I tweeze my eyebrows everyday so it is really important for me to have a good tweezer that won’t take up a lot of my time. With Tweezerman I can pull out a short hair in 1-2 tries but with e.l.f. I had to go back 2-4 times to get it since it kept slipping out. (more…)

e.l.f. Matte Bronzer vs. MAC Sculpting Powder

e.l.f. Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder Matte Bronzer
($1, 0.18oz) is actually a good contour for cheeks. It’s texture is silky smooth and although it says matte the product does have some gold sparkle in it but when applied it looks completely matte. This product comes in 4 shades: Sun Kissed, Warm Tan, Luminance, and Matte Bronze. From the pictures online Warm Tan seems to be the better one to use as a bronzer. The Matte Bronze is too dark for me to use all over my face, I think it would be good for darker skinned girls though. I am going to use this to contour my cheeks. For contouring my cheeks I have been using MAC sculpting powder in Shadester (I think $22, 0.21oz) described as a midtone leathery beige, it looks more like a reddish brown when heavily swatched. e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip

e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip ($1) is a great multipurpose product that illuminates your skin for a dewy finish. I bought this to use as a highlighter and got their new color spotlight, which is a white shimmer. There are other colors available ranging from pink, purple, to browns. I want to try out some of the other colors soon they are such a great deal! It has vitamin B, C and E to instantly brighten and sooth skin with no greasy after-feel. To use simply use a small amount and blend into cheeks, or on eyes and lips. With the white color once I blend it in well it is not as shimmery as I would like but you can still see a nice shimmer on the skin. I just use another layer over the first to get the look I want.

This can be an eyeshadow base with shimmer or you can add some shimmer to your lips also. Surprisingly this product is also scented with a pleasant orange fragrance. All the colors available have this fragrance. The great part about this product also is it is in a tube making it convenient to use without brushes and is travel friendly.  A little really does go a long way so this tube should last for a while. A $38 product you can get for $1 from e.l.f.

Eyes lips face (e.l.f.) is a fast growing company in cosmetics. e.l.f. strives to provide exceptional beauty products at a value price. With the majority of their cosmetics being only $1, e.l.f. wants to empower women to be their own make-up artists by teaching professional make up application tips & techniques without sacrificing the budget. Who doesn’t want to buy makeup for a dollar? What color to buy? It’ll be a tough decision since there aren’t any samples to try out, I know it took me a long time but on the positive side it was only $1 so you aren’t losing much money if you decide not to use it. I recently bought a bunch of things from e.l.f., my first time trying their products and I must say I am pretty please with the items I received. Another positive is they have discount codes which also save you even more money. I bought about 18 different items and paid only $15 including shipping after my discount of $8, that’s even less than $1 a product. One of my favorite things I bought was e.l.f.’s All Over Color Stick. It’s almost just like Nar’s The Multiple but only for $1…
