Estee Lauder Pure Color Extravagant Gold Palette ($42) is a versatile 5-color palette allows you to play with intensities, mix and blend shades of varying color intensities and finishes: matte, satin, shimmer or metallic. Use the highlighter to brighten the look and widen eyes instantly and the deepest shade to structure and define the eyes. The palette includes a full mirror and applicators/brushes in Estee Lauder’s sleek gold compact.
I absolutely love how easy it is to blend the shadow colors. It feels velvety smooth when applied, long-lasting and doesn’t crease. All the colors in this palette work wonderfully together, you could probably make at least 3 different looks with the 5 shades of brown. This palette complements Estee Lauder’s Holiday 2010 red lipstick.
The lightest brown is more like a shimmery champagne color best used as a highlighter to brighten up the eyes. The orange toned brown is like a shimmery orange gold color. The the right is a shimmery copper brown. Above is a shimmery taupe brown and in the middle is a matte dark brown for contouring.
