Benefit The POREfessional ($28, 0.75 fl oz) quickly minimizes the appearance of pores. Apply this silky, lightweight balm to achieve translucent pore coverage and smoother-than-smooth skin. Pores…now you see ‘em, now you don’t! Complements all skin tones. This primer is oil-free and can be used under or over makeup for a silky smooth finish.

Recommendation: Despite the fact that this was not able to minimize the appearance of my pores I would buy this again because of how well it kept my face from becoming oily.

Does this really minimize the appearance of your pores? For me, no it didn’t. Maybe the pores are my nose are too big to hide. Before trying this I was under the impression that the primer would fill in any pores to hide it but there was no visible camouflage of the pores. The POREfessional did however, left my skin silky smooth. I am disappointed that this did not work to hide my pores but this is a great product as a lightweight face primer.

The primer kept my face from looking oily after a few hours. At the fourth hour my face was slightly oily, a lot less than what was normal for me. I believe that this primer absorbs the oil produced from the skin to keep it from looking shiny. If there is less oil on my face then perhaps it will over time help minimize the appearance of pores by not clogging them with oil. This primer can also be reapplied over makeup throughout the day without disturbing any makeup that you already have on. You’ll only need to focus mainly on the t-zone and your cheeks. There is an instruction pamphlet inside on how to best apply the primer.

I am currently using Givenchy’s Mister Matte which I thought was the best primer for my skin but now that the POREfessional is available I will be switching over to Benefit’s primer. The design of the tube makes it easy to dispense the product and it makes my skin very smooth making it easier to apply my foundation.
