China Glaze Vintage Vixen Collection The majority of these shades were very easy to apply with the exception of 1 which was uneven due to the glitter in it. As I mentioned earlier the colors are beautiful, all very wearable colors. There were only a couple in this collection that did not impress me. I don’t know how I can wear all these colors unless I wear a color on each finger
The finish on these shades are glossy and shiny and the glitter in all the bottles also give it even more lustre. All these colors look best with two coats of polish.
Must Have: Gooing My Way?, Foxy, First Class Ticket
Pass: Riveter Rouge
Classic Camel, Swing Baby, Ingrid
Going My Way?, Riveter Rouge, Foxy
Hey Doll, Bogie, Jitterbug
Emerald Fitzgerald, Midnight Mission, First Class Ticket
- Riveter Rouge – Deep red shimmer; Chunky glitter which made the application uneven and the color was like a magenta pink
- Foxy – Burgundy frost with shimmer; red with a hint pink with the first layer, this color is much better than Riveter Rouge because it applied evenly. With 2 layers it looks dark red with hint of gold from micro-glitter
- Goin’ My Way – Brown frost with copper shimmer; coppery brown with glitter, this is a nice shade
- Classic Camel – Khaki crème with gold micro glitter; gold polish with gold glitter but the glitter is not chunky, applies evenly
- Swing Baby – Taupe frost with silver micro glitter; I think this looks best with one coat, with two coats the color is too metallic and looks like tin metal. For the swatch the last two fingers have two coats. The basecoat is clear and only the glitter is visible
- Ingrid – “Greige” crème with copper micro glitter; color is a gray-brown with gold microglitter that is not easily seen
- Hey Doll – Rose frost with shimmer; silver glitter
- Bogie – Plum frost with shimmer; silvery purple with silver glitter
- First Class Ticket – Deep purple frost with shimmer; dark purple with purple microglitter. Color dark with two coats, almost looks black at a quick glance
- Midnight Mission – Navy blue frost with silver micro glitter; blue with big pieces of silver glitter but even application
- Emerald Fitzgerald – Turquoise green frost with shimmer; blue-green with green microglitter
- Jitterbug – Grey chrome with silver micro glitter; dark grey with big silver glitter
Rating: A- for collection
