IMATS '10 was held again this year in the Pasadena Convention Center. There were a lot of people at the convention this year but it seemed like there were less people there than last year. I went on Saturday to scoop up the best products from the many makeup brands there. A lot of the brands there had their products at a discounted prices up to 40% off like Make Up Forever, MAC, Bobbi Brown, Senna, NYX Cosmetics, and more. Another benefit from attending the show was I got to sign up for professional discounts from brands like Urban Decay, they even gave out a free product just for signing up. I was also able to buy a lot of makeup brushes from Crown with most at about $3-$6 up to $15.

Thank you for making this post, I’ve always been afraid that I would go to a show like this and it would be a waste of time. I will have to go next year.

Thanks for reading! The convention is fun you get to meet a lot of makeup loving people there and I saw quite a few of the popular bloggers there too. They also offer classes on products and makeup techniques. You should definitely check it out next year

I don’t have a cosmetology license, could I attend an event like this without one? Some of the shows I’ve wanted to go to required one. Do you have one?

I do not have a license and this show is open to anyone which is the main reason I went because like you said a lot of the other shows require license. It is only $15 for a ticket too.

Hi Christine! I just wanted to thank you for mentioning IMATS a month ago. I decided to buy my ticket after hearing your experience and went for the first time. It was amazing…so much fun and the classes were great. I saw you there on Saturday too.

That made my day, thank you! I’m glad I was able to interest someone in going. Glad you enjoyed it, it was my second time going this year. I didn’t go to any classes but I think I will have to check those out next year. Say hi if we meet next year

OK Kayla I am going next year for sure. that would be fun to see the person who writes the blog I read, were you tempted to say hi? Christine would it have been weird for you if she did or would you have been flattered? I had never thought about it before but I think it would be so cool to meet someone who read something I took the time to post..

I definitely think it would be cool to meet the readers, thanks to all of you I am able to have all these products to review! I saw quite a few bloggers there myself, it is surreal seeing them in person when I have been watching them online

Sharon you have to go…it was great. I can’t stop thinking about it! It was cool seeing some of the bloggers and youtubers there. I think they like meeting you also so they can put a face to their readers/viewers. Christine if I see you next year I will say hi. I was in line when I saw you and you know how those lines are!!

Who was your favorite blogger, was anyone there where you went “that’s her?” I sometimes think I wonder if they do any camera tricks. LOL

Christine, I am sure you looked the same as you do on video.

I just noticed in the pictures (actually why I am reading blogs at all today) that you have parian brush cleaner, I hate cleaning my brushes, it seems like it takes forever, is that wipe fast and does it actually work?

I have not used the wipe yet but the liquid surprisingly dried instantly. In a demo I saw, a lip brush was completely dry. It almost completely removes the makeup too depending on the size of the brush. I will have a review up soon so keep checking back!
