Bobbi Brown Beach Club Collection Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadow

Bobbi Brown Beach Club Collection Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadow and Metallic Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadow ($22) stays put on you lids all day long and remains crease-free. The colors in the Beach Club Collection are Moonstone (shimmering light green), Opal (iridescent pink), Surf (shimmering light blue), and Pink Oyster (shimmering pink), and Shore (nude). Surf, Opal, and Nude apply easily with a brush and your fingers but the heat from your fingers make it even easier to apply evenly on the lids.

Recommendation: Shore applies very evenly but its color doesn’t impress me but it would be a great eyeshadow base. The metallics were a little tricky to apply and did not give an even application. I would pass on the metallic colors, they look prettier in the pot than on your eyes.

  • Opal applies a little chunky due to the metallic/glitter in the cream. It can be used as a base because it applies sheer and will give your eyeshadow more shimmer by layering more color over opal. I would most likely use this for a base because it is too glittery on its own for my liking.
  • Surf is appears just as it looks in the container. It is baby blue with some shimmer and it is easy to apply it for an even application unlike opal. Surf would be great as a base for a blue eyeshadow to enhance the shadow’s color or even by itself for a subtle hint of color.
  • Shore has a smoother consistency than the metallic cream eyeshadows. This is also good as a nude eye primer. On my skintone the color is a perfect match so this shade would best we used to keep my lids from looking oily if I am going for a nude “makeup less” look with its matte finish.

This was my first time using Bobbi Brown’s cream eyeshadows and overall the metallics did not impress me because of the lack of a smooth even application due to the glitter present. Applying the metallics with a brush helped it look more even but the color payoff was much lighter than if I used my finger to apply it. A good amount of the color remained in my brush (but that maybe due to the  brush I had, I am sure if I owned a Bobbi Brown’s cream shadow brush to use the color would be more prominent). The regular cream eyeshadow in Shore however has made me intrigued to try more cream eyeshadows in brighter shades that can be worn on its own. Also, remember to close the lids tightly so your color doesn’t dry out!
