Infinit by Conair You Curl ($50) is a clampless hair curler that will give you soft loose sexy curls with its cone-shaped barrel that creates a softer, less structured curl. The conical design allows the curls to start closer to the root unlike most hair curlers which usually curl midday through the hair. The cone allows more volume through the middle and you will get a tighter curl at the ends due to the smaller barrel. Once removed from the barrel you get a nice spiral or hair that can be finger combed for a more natural flowy look.

The You Curl features a Tourmaline Ceramic technology to eliminate frizz and provide high heat and create kink free curls. This has 5 LED settings that provide the ideal temperature for all hair types and a stay-cool safety tip that protects your fingers during use. This curler also has an auto shut off feature making it safe for you when you forget to turn it off and also a swivel cord making it easy to use.

To use:

Take a 1-inch wide section of hair, starting 2 inches from the scalp.
Wind the section of hair around the thicker portion of the barrel toward the cool tip.
Hold the end of the hair in place at the cool tip for 5 to 8 seconds depending on hair type, and then release. Because there is no clip, you can easily curl hair without kinks. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose, free-flowing curls, roll more hair. To “set” the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools.
Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hair style you desire.

For tight curls wrap small sections of hair tightly and hold for a few seconds
For looser curls wrap wider sections of hair
For today’s look, don’t wind hair all the way – leave a few inches straight at the roots

This curler heats up very fast and distributes heat evenly. You’ll only need to hold your hair around the curler for about 5-10 seconds depending on the heat setting and your hair type. When using this I recommend spraying a light hair spray to help hold the curl through out the day. Be careful not to wrap your hair too close to the base of the curler because my hair got snagged and I wasn’t able to get it out of the crack without losing some hair, it hurt a little too. Just wrap your hair around the middle of the curler and even if you have long hair there will be enough room to wrap your hair completely.

The swivel cord makes it extremely easy to use and no cords get tangled which sometimes can take a some time to untangle. It has comes with a reusable plastic cord wrap so you can store your curler away without leaving a tangled mess, which I like. The only thing I wish this came with is a heat resistant glove like the Enzo Milano. I am always worried I might burn my fingers on accident. It would be great if Conair made gloves to come with this or even sold separately. Speaking of the Enzo Milano, this is significantly better than the Enzo! I paid about $100 for the 1″ Enzo and it did not heat up very well. I was really disappointed with it since I heard many good things about it and I wanted that loose curl look. Conair’s You Curl gives you beautiful curls in and size and heats up super fast and stays hot. At half the price of the Enzo this is the better product. I have seen this sold at Wal-mart for $35 so you can get this for less at certain stores, which saves you even more money.
