Josie Maran Magic Marker Lip and Cheek Stain ($19) is a longwearing natural lip and cheek stain packaged in a portable pen for effortless touch ups on the go. This magic formula has a blend of Hylronic Acid and sugar extracts to smooth and plump lips for a sexy pout. Apply stain to clean dry lips or for a natural rosy flush and/or dab on cheeks and blend in a circular motion with fingertips.

Recommendation: For you if you are looking for a long wearing lip stain in many shades with an easy application if only it worked that well for cheek color

The color I got is Foxtrot, a deep berry wine. This lip stain goes on very easily and is very pigmented. You do not need to apply many layers to get full coverage on your lips. Once the stain is applied it is hard to blend evenly so I think this would not be ideal to be used on your cheeks because it will look like streaks on your cheek. Foxtrot looked more like a red than a deep dark berry color. This is the first time I have used a bright colored lip product so I felt a little uncomfortable but after a while I got used to seeing my lips look so bright.

When using the lip stain you should make sure your lips are exfoliated and moisturized for an even coverage. Apply as much as you’d like then I recommend for you to get a tissue and blot your lips to remove excess color for an even application. With dry lips certainsparts of your lip will look darker than others. If your lips are exposed to water shortly after you apply the stain it can be easily removed but it has good staying power when allowed for it to set on the lips.
