Wow is Urban Decay’s new product amazing!!! I was very skeptical about spending money on it but is it worth it. Pick up De-Slick Oil control Makeup Setting Spray $29 (4 fl oz) before the 30% off sale ends on Monday 4/19. With the discount you will pay about $21. It is a spray created by Skindinavia that will reduce the production of oil on your face especially the T-zone and will extend the life of your makeup. “De-Slick uses innovative oil control that both absorbs excess sebum and controls surface shine and its light dispersing particles deflect shine and deliver a matte look for up to 16 hours. Its temperature control technology keeps your makeup from melting down when it’s warm and humid, and dehydrating when its cold and windy.” It is also formulated to resist moisture such as sweat or tears.
This comes in a spray bottle in which you mist the product all over your face once before makeup application and again afterward. Shake the bottle well and it is suggested that you first spray it on your face in an”X” fashion and again after in a “T” fashion for the T-zone. I find that just 2-3 sprays right in the middle of my face was enough. The spray absorbs very quickly so you will not have to wait long to apply your makeup. I have tried using it before and after makeup application and just once before makeup application. I think you can get away with just using it once before and still get the great oil controlling properties of this product (which will save you money by using less)…
I wore this before working and I usually break a sweat running around but after 5 hours my face still looked matte with slight shininess around the T-zone when usually there would be a lot of oil that I can see my foundation starting to move around. Not this time though it still looked clean. I put the product to the test with oil absorbing sheets at the end of the night, about 12 hours of wearing the makeup. I usually need to use 2 sheets of Sonia Kashuk’s blotting paper but I barely even used up one. Yet another way to save me money, I get to buy less blotting paper. I even took a nap in between the day! The oil around my T-zone is less than half of what I would usually experience at the end of the day. I have the De-Slick mattifying powder but it doesn’t hold up as well as this.
What I would love to see Urban Decay do is to create a travel friendly version of this for girls on the go like me. The bottle was a little too big to fit in my makeup bag with everything else. Urban Decay also offers similar products for those with different skin care needs, Guardian Angel is moisturizing with SPF 8, All Nighter for normal skin, and Dew Me for drier skin, while De-Slick is intended for use by those with oily skin. These products are allergy tested, dermatologist tested, vegan, cruelty free, and free of oil, parabens, and fragrance. Urban Decay also has a satisfaction guarantee with in 45 days so go ahead and try it but I’m sure you will love it as much as me. So get rid of all your oil controlling products because from now on this ia ll you’ll ever need.

No problem! I hope you like it as much as I do =)
My skin tends to get oily faster due to the hot weather. Next semester I would be taking classes from 10-1 and I would have to put on my make up at 8 something. My classes are right after one another, making me impossible to do touch ups. Do you think that this will help prevent my skin from getting oily and shinny?
